Memories of Beautiful Autumn

<img500*0:stuff/alotofautumn1.jpg>

Today it's the second of November and it's getting darker and more grey for every day. That's why I want to share a few photos from the beginning of autumn, to remember how beautiful this season is, when there are still coloured leaves on the trees and the sun is shining.

These are photos from a walk in the woods, near my town Örebro in an area called Kilsbergen (the Kil Mountains). They're not very powerful mountains at all, so don't think we were on an adventure. It was nice to take a walk, breathe fresh air and have a picnic there!

<img500*0:stuff/alotofautumn5.jpg>

Proof that Cluthlu is actually visiting me sometimes in Örebro - his uncle actually lives in Kilsbergen!

Even better than just talking a walk in the woods, is to do it together with your best friend.

Me an my friend also visited Dalsland, her home area, where we were lucky to find some gold! And you all know what the true gold of the forest is, right? Delicious yellow mushrooms!

2008-07-28 [Viking]: *stalks*

2008-07-28 [Easterling]: Wohoo! ...

2008-07-28 [Easterling]: So, what do you think?

2008-07-28 [Viking]: Nice pics =)

2008-07-29 [Easterling]: Thanks X)

2008-08-01 [Galatea]: Oh these are lovely!, I love the moss on the tree

2008-08-02 [Easterling]: It's one of my favourites, too. :)

2008-08-02 [Galatea]: :D I hope you keep doing this, I can see some real skill in which photos you choose!

2008-08-02 [Easterling]: Wow, thankyou. It's fun to try to camera on different stuff and not only use it for saving family moments...

Before I've had a regular camera and I almost never took any photographs, and they didn't turn out to be very good either. Now, it's possible to take more chances, and you also don't have to pay a lot of money for bad ones, just save the ones that has turned out fine.

I love that it come close - like in the one with the tree, and the rose. Maybe that's something that everyone is used to nowadays, but because I haven't had a digi before it's all new and cool for me! :D

2008-10-13 [Galatea]: Gorgeous photos!!! I wish I lived near somewhere that beautiful!

2008-10-13 [Easterling]: Thankyou! :) I love autumn so it's wonderful to be outside now (when it's not raining of course).

2008-11-18 [Viking]: Those peppers look tasty...

2008-11-20 [Easterling]: And they are.

2008-11-20 [All_Most PUNK]: Uh, uh, where are the dragons?

2008-11-20 [Easterling]: They were not in the market.. but I've got other pictures, too.

2008-11-20 [All_Most PUNK]: Are they in the zoos?

2008-11-20 [Easterling]: My friends went to the zoo.. there were poor animals trapped in too small cages... I don't think they'd be able to hold a dragon in there for very long..

I saw a couple when I was in the Forbidden City..

2008-11-20 [All_Most PUNK]: Well, yes, it was a zoo after all :P
They'd just make a too small cage bigger than the others.

Did they talk to you?

2008-11-20 [Easterling]: You think it's possible to keep dragons in cages?

No, they just stood still.. like statues, really. <img:44166_1164218111.gif>

Today when we made a visit to some place on the country side we walked past a buddhist temple. There were terribly angry gods in there! I'm so glad that I'm a christian and not a buddhist! <img:44166_1164145221.gif>

2008-11-20 [All_Most PUNK]: I imagine it must be. They must be special cages, though.

That's strange... MAybe they were sleeping?

What kind of terrible things they did?
And the Christian god is never angry. *takes two steps away from Sodom, Ghomorra and Babel*

2008-11-20 [Easterling]: I don't think they are that high-tech in zoo buissness over here..

Maybe. Maybe they just come alive at dark.

They didn't do anything, they just stood there looking terrible of course. Those gods cannot do anything.
And yes, you're right. But at least that's not the central image of the christian God. These gods seemed to have anger as their.. well, their personal style.

2008-11-20 [All_Most PUNK]: Ahhh... But the japanese have ways to control beasts. They fight Godzilla all the time. They could buy the cages from them.

That's a good possibility. But, if that happens, does that mean they are evil?

I didn't mean the statues themselves but the beliefs associated with them.
Ah, sure. I'm still staying away from those places >_> (In part because it's dangerous, but also because, to be honest, Sodom stinks).

2008-11-21 [Easterling]: But the Japanese people is a little step beyong China when it comes to technological things.

Why should be active during the dark mean that they're evil?

Yes, I know. But it's hard to tell how people really see the statues, you know. Are they only idols, symbols of something else or are they actually honored for themselves? I mean, they actually put forward food and other things for the statue. Well, it's complicated and I think many people would answer differently if I asked them questions about it.

Easy for you to stay away from them, because they're in Israel.. If you can say that they are there anymore, I mean - they were destroyed, right?

2008-11-21 [All_Most PUNK]: That's why the Chinese could buy them, not make them.

I don't know. It's like a classical association.

Why shouldn't they be just representations of gods? Why should they adore the statue and not the divinity? And the presents to the statue are probably just as symbolic of the relation with the deity as the statues themselves.

Yes, they were. At least Sodom and Ghomorra. Babel may just have been abandoned, not sure.

2008-11-21 [Easterling]: I don't know if they want any dragons.. they make non-straight brigdes just to get rid of the evil spirits, maybe they want to get rid of the dragons, too.

Bats come out in darkness, too, and they're not evil. They're adorable.

In true Buddhaism, if it could be called that, the little wagon, Buddha is not god at all. In Mahayana, the big wagon, which means buddhaism that is more mixed up with local beliefs and traditions there are many different ways of thinking. So, like I say, I don't know. When we read about hinduism, anyway, we were told not to be too fast in thinking that the idols were only symbols of gods and not gods in themselves. It's a complicated thinking there and I could guess it's the same with the other eastern religion.

They abandoned Babel and spread out over the whole world, talking different languages.

2008-11-21 [All_Most PUNK]: But they have lots of dragons, anyway. They should at least put them in zoos if they don't want them walking around.

Bats are adorable? O_o

Little wagon?
And not with the western ones? They aren't complicated?

Exactly.

2008-11-21 [Easterling]: I told you, they have too small cages!

Yes. I love bats. Every time I see one flapping by at night it puts a smile on my face. I promise, it's true.

Yeah, the big and the little wagon. Those are terms desribing the two different lines of buddhaism, the latter one is more true to Buddha's own teaching and only male monks can get to Nirvana within that way of believeing.
The western ones are also complicated, but I wasn't talking about them just there. All ways of thinking, ideologies, philosophies and religions are complicated and all is linked in each other, of course. Though, the three Abrahamic religions have a worldview and a way of thinking that is more like the western way, because they have influenced how the western world has been developing (of course), so in that way the eastern religions can be more difficult to understand from a western point of view.

2008-11-21 [All_Most PUNK]: And I told you: They should buy too small cages for dragons from the japanese!

I believe you. I don't share the love, but believe it.

I didn't know that.
I see.

2008-11-23 [Easterling]: Ah, I have found the solution to this problem - they tie their dragons with strings.

2008-11-24 [All_Most PUNK]: All is explained! :D

2008-12-07 [Easterling]: :D

2008-12-21 [Cyrano meets Merso]: No need to go through all that hustle of caging the dragons...the guys from PETA would probably attack you with a baseball bat(probably miss spelled)...unless you have : PETA cages::)

And bats are quite cool...

2008-12-22 [Easterling]: What is PETA?

2008-12-22 [Viking]: People Eating Tasty Animals

2008-12-23 [Galatea]: Heheh, I second that one! PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals...sounds like a good idea, in all actuality, they are nutjobs...not all but most.

2008-12-23 [Cyrano meets Merso]: Well at least the ones hitting people with baseball bats::D

2008-12-23 [Galatea]: I second that one too... :D

2008-12-23 [Easterling]: Hitting people with baseball bats doesn't sound like ethical treatment at all.

2008-12-24 [All_Most PUNK]: It's ethical if they are dressed up as baseballs.

2008-12-24 [Galatea]: Exactly...they start fires and attack people verbally...have been known to throw blood and other liquids are people...especially those that wear fur. The extremists are as always the ones you want to watch out for.

2008-12-24 [Cyrano meets Merso]: [All_Most PUNK] I second that one... I dont mind throwing stuff at people, but it will only make them go buy another one, hence, skin another animal, even though the animal needs the skin to keep its organs nice and warm...

2008-12-25 [Galatea]: The thing is, terrorizing people isn't going to make them stop doing what they are doing...they have to be shown WHY it is so horrible...after that, and still no response then you can public humiliate them. I have been on the wrong end of PETA before and that was just because of where I worked (PetSmart). I feel like most members of PETA can go jump off a cliff, they cause more harm them good.

2008-12-25 [Cyrano meets Merso]: Well something like that...but still having people dress like baseballs and you hitting them is quite a neat idea... But the real question is, what if someone dresses up like a bowling ball...or God forbid a curling(not hair, but the sport) rock...

2008-12-26 [All_Most PUNK]: I don't think throwing blood or liquid to people who wears furs is so bad *shrugs*

2008-12-26 [Cyrano meets Merso]: I dont think either, but it only means that they will buy another one, which is antagonistic... People in looking like baseballs still have my vote...

2008-12-27 [Galatea]: Yep...if you dress up like a baseball you are begging to get hit. :D

2008-12-27 [All_Most PUNK]: Oh, sure, I'm totally in favor of people on baseball suits being hit. But I don't think throwing blood at them would make much sense, would it?

2008-12-27 [Viking]: Not only is it antagonistic, but counterproductive to their goals.

2008-12-27 [Galatea]: truetrue...throwing blood at baseballs makes no sense.

And I agree Viking, no one listens to those that react with violence, they tend to turn people off of their cause instead of onto it.

2008-12-27 [All_Most PUNK]: -

Nobody listens in general...

2008-12-28 [Easterling]: The discussion on this page has really developed into something unexpected! I didn't know, when I put up the pictures, that they'd inspire a talk about throwing blood or liquid on people who wear baseball suits..

(Baseball, by the way, seems really like the most boring sport in the world....)

2008-12-28 [All_Most PUNK]: -

(What about golf?)

2008-12-28 [Easterling]:

(Actually, even though golf would bore me to death, I think baseball wins this competition.. I mean - baseball!...)

2008-12-28 [Cyrano meets Merso]: Yep, baseball wins, after curling(Ill have to learn how to spell it)...because on golf, if you are lucky, you get the really funny speaker guys::D

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: Curling is all right, because Sweden is good at curling! :D

2008-12-29 [Cyrano meets Merso]: So you are saying, that you can watch it for more than half an hour and not fall asleep?

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: If Sweden is winning I guess I could...

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: These are new pictures! I hope they can give a trace to the magic and fascination I felt when I visited the Three Padogas!!

2008-12-29 [Viking]: Excellent pics!

2008-12-29 [Galatea]: Wow those are beautiful!

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: Aren't they? I'm going to print them and then try to do some artwork of them soon...

2008-12-29 [Galatea]: Oh that is a good idea! Plus they would really be great practice!

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: Yeah! :) When I was in China I bought scetch paper, nice-looking brushes and black ink (but maybe I by mistake got the blue one) that I'm going to practice with when I get back home. :D

I'm really going to try to start with painting a little when I get back home (I'm at my parents' house now). And now, since I have a dig-camera, I can show you some of the things I made last year - because then I don't have to find a scanner, I can just take a picture of it.

2008-12-29 [Galatea]: Blue or black that will look beautiful! :D I love painting with ink but I never do it, but I really look forward to seeing your work!

YAY! :D I am glad that you had such a wonderful trip and you truly are a talent photographer!

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: Thankyou! :D My friend said that to me, too, and I was very proud. I've never been taking a lot of photographs before, but now when I have got the dig-cam it has been a lot of fun. Then you dare to take more on details and other things, too, because you know you can take the bad ones away afterwards. Of course it wasn't hard to take great pictures of that towers, and not on other things during the trip either - because the weather was so beautiful and the sun was shining.

2008-12-29 [Galatea]: Very true, and its wonderful that it gives you that bravery! Of course gorgeous scenery and weather probably helped when taking photos! :D But you have a gift for capturing just the right angle/

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: Thankyou! I think I photographed every single angle of that tower...

2008-12-29 [Viking]: Heh! That seems to be the key - take a ton of pics, and keep the good ones =)

2008-12-29 [Easterling]: Yeah! :)

2008-12-29 [All_Most PUNK]: Really really cool pcitures, Elin :)

2008-12-30 [Skydancer]: One thing about it, you really get to travel some awesome photographic opportunities. :D You have a rare enthusiasm matched only by your talent. As your skills grow, your going to be a pretty incredible photographer.

2008-12-30 [Chrysilla]: I agree with that. Can't wait to see more pictures :)

2008-12-30 [Easterling]: Oh thankyou very much for your comments, all of you! <3

2009-01-02 [Artsieladie]: Great photos! I particularly like the angles that you covered. :)

2009-01-02 [Easterling]: Thankyou! :)

2009-02-05 [Triola]: Awwww, the pigs! <333

2009-02-05 [Easterling]: The piggles! x)

2009-02-05 [Viking]: I bet there are no mice in a Miao village.

And great pics =D

2009-02-06 [DREAM of BLUE]: GOOD WORK...:)

2009-02-06 [Easterling]: Thankyou! :)

2009-02-24 [All_Most PUNK]: Stupid Viking stupidly stealing my stupid joke -_-

I love the colors :D

2009-02-24 [Viking]: I didn't steal anything.

2009-02-24 [Easterling]: *hrr-hm* Viking wasn't the first one with that kind of joke, really...

2009-02-24 [All_Most PUNK]: Lots of thieves, then.

2009-02-24 [Viking]: I was first on this page >_<

2009-02-24 [All_Most PUNK]: I have no proofs of that.

2009-02-24 [Viking]: Yes you do. Just look at all of the comments.

2009-02-24 [All_Most PUNK]: As if that proves anything. Comments can be deleted. Try go to a judge and use ET comments as proof.

2009-02-24 [Viking]: Don't give me that. Just use your Guard Powers to look at the deleted comments.

2009-02-24 [Easterling]: Viking was actually first with it on this page. He was the first viewer of these photos, too, I think.

2009-02-24 [Triola]: I commented on the pigs waaay before Viking commented on the pictures, which should mean that I saw the pictures first!

2009-02-24 [Easterling]: Oh, my mistake. :O

2009-02-24 [Viking]: It might also mean that I went to Wikipedia to read up on the Miao people before coming back and commenting. But in the meantime, [Triola] had left a comment making it appear that she was the first to see these pictures. =P

2009-02-25 [Triola]: I may have done the very same thing, so that is the worst defense everrrr.

2009-02-25 [Viking]: And maybe someone else saw them first but didn't comment, so =P

2009-02-25 [All_Most PUNK]: Elin saw them first.

Guard powers don't give me the ability to see deleted comments.

The judge is still ruling.

2009-02-25 [Chrysilla]: coffee anyone?

2009-02-25 [Easterling]: Viking, don't be so sure that everything can be found on your beloved wikipedia! x)

Thankyou, Chrys. I don't really need coffee, but I need a hug! Gaaahhh! Uaahhh! The door just ate my finger! *sniff sniff* I showed off my mental strenght and ability to behave myself and roared out loud in the stairs. And I don't have time to have a hurting finger today.

Oh my - I'm beginning to sound like a buissnessman these days: "I don't have time for this! This is not in my schedule!"

(To Viking: Braindead is however a part of my schedule! :D Since the guy in my group lent it to me today.)

2009-02-25 [Chrysilla]: *hugs you*

2009-02-25 [Viking]: Excellent! I wish Peter Jackson would go back to making great movies like Braindead.

*also hugs Elin*

2009-02-25 [All_Most PUNK]: *doesn't hug anyone*

2009-02-25 [Easterling]: All_Most PUNK hugs nobody on nobody's page, where he gave compliments to that nobody.

2009-02-25 [All_Most PUNK]: O_o What?

2009-02-25 [Easterling]: I thought you were still trying to ignore me. But maybe you just refused to hug me.

2009-02-25 [Viking]: He wouldn't even have come to this page if he were ignoing you.

2009-02-25 [Triola]: Of course he would. The key to properly ignoring people is to be more in their face than ever, to keep them constantly aware of the fact that they're being ignored :P

2009-02-25 [Viking]: Seems like too much effort.

2009-02-25 [Triola]: That is why males are rarely as good at ignoring people as females are :P

2009-02-25 [Viking]: Ah.

2009-02-25 [Easterling]: I'm very bad at ignoring people. :P

2009-02-26 [Triola]: Yeah, you're too nice :P

2009-02-26 [All_Most PUNK]: Ah, no, I wasn't ignoring you anymore. Sorry about the confusion :D

2009-02-26 [Easterling]: Does that mean you'll hug me?

Triola: Yeah, I am. Too polite, anyway. Being polite and being nice isn't always the same thing... :P

2009-02-26 [Easterling]: (Information: My finger tip is today big, red and blue.)

(Reason for giving the information: So that you all will feel sorry for me of course. And give me virtual hugs and things like that.)

2009-02-26 [Viking]: *hugs*

2009-02-26 [All_Most PUNK]: Sorry, Viking is already hugging you.

2009-02-26 [Viking]: You could give her cookies.

2009-02-26 [All_Most PUNK]: I don't have any.

2009-02-26 [Easterling]: Bah, you hug-escaper!

*hugs Viking back*

2009-03-07 [Viking]: Nice pics (as always)!
And is that a giant Foo Dog guarding the forbidden city?

2009-03-07 [Easterling]: To be honest, I don't really know what it's doing, but it sure seemed to look down very angrily on the tourists...!

2009-03-09 [Easterling]: I spelled Tiananmen Square wrong.. but it's corrected now.. :P

2009-03-13 [LvSha]: Cool pictures, ;) have you ever visited Mao's "underground city" in Beijing as well...;D
Foo Dog, there's a pair guarding outside the gate, making sure every tourist paid to get inside. ;)

2009-03-13 [Easterling]: No, I didn't have time for that actually. I was in China for six weeks making a fielstudy, but I was in Yunnan province, in Kun Ming. We were in Beijing a couple of days in the beginning and in the end, and the last day I got the chance to walk on the great wall. Those pictures I haven't uploaded yet.

2009-03-31 [Moonknight]: these photos are awesome :)

2009-03-31 [Easterling]: Well, China is an awesome country... :)

Did you visit the wiki "The Mysterious building". There you can see pagodas (I think that's the right spelling), buddhistic towers that we saw when we went to an old city called Dali outside Kun Ming. These Pagodas are religious towers and once they covered the whole landscape around this old city, but during the cultural revolution a lot of religious buildings got tore down and now there are only three of them left.

2009-03-31 [Moonknight]: theres lots of pagodas in some areas of south korea too :)

2009-03-31 [Easterling]: Yes, of course, there must be. :)

2009-05-04 [Easterling]: Welcome everyone to a new album!

This time I also want your help: Please, tell me your favourite between these two: 13 & 16. :)

2009-05-04 [All_Most PUNK]: 16, without a doubt.

2009-05-04 [Viking]: I like 16. Moss-covered rocks are beautiful.

2009-05-05 [Easterling]: Ok, thankyou for your help!

2009-05-05 [Triola]: I agree with the boys :)

2009-05-05 [Easterling]: I thought that would be the best one, yeah... Somehow I was attached to the first of the two, though, (13) I think I liked the branch there, that's why that one was a favourite of mine.

2009-07-30 [Easterling]: New pictures in my little album!

2009-07-30 [Viking]: It's about time! I was beginning to think you weren't going to let anyone else see these picture!

And that church is really beautiful.

2009-07-31 [Easterling]: It really is.

Well, I was thinking of first getting enough energy to sit down and write the story behind both the archer, the village and the church. But I never seemed to get the time to do it. I will do it, but I thought it was better to finally put the new album up than waiting for time to write a history essay. :P

2009-12-20 [Easterling]: No info text this time. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! I hope you all can see that I live in a fantasy world right now!

2009-12-20 [Triola]: We have the same here, it is lovely, isn't it? :3 Although, a bit too cold for my tastes, but staying inside with hot chocolate solves that problem very well :D

2009-12-20 [Easterling]: It IS pretty beautiful to have as a view while drinking chocolate or coffee (with homemade gingerbread cookies). :)

2009-12-20 [Viking]: Very nice! We still have hardly any snow. I think we're supposed to get freezing rain tonight...

2009-12-20 [Easterling]: Gah! An old lady has told my mother it's going to rain here! :S

2009-12-20 [Viking]: Really? The weather says you're going to get freezing fog!

2009-12-20 [Easterling]: Ohhh! I knew it was all lies! I could KISS you for saying that!

2009-12-20 [Viking]: =D
And then on Tuesday it's supposed to be sunny with more snow Tuesday night.

2009-12-20 [Easterling]: Where I live?? Ahhh great! I'm going to the cinemas Tuesday night. (Which has nothign to do with the snow eeehhh but I told you anyway.)

2009-12-20 [Viking]: Yep, where you live. But AccuWeather.com won't tell me anything about Orebro after Tuesday night.

2009-12-20 [Easterling]: But I'm in Skara now. Västergötland, Skaraborg.
